Most water damage in the home is in the bathroom or the kitchen. Usually, leaks and spills require mopping up and potentially replacing the wall in front of the pipe that leaked. However, there are times that the leak went unnoticed or occurred in an area of the house, such as the basement, where you may not visit regularly. In these cases, you may need to use different methods to restore your home to preloss condition. 

Dealing with this type of considerable spill water damage requires specialized extraction techniques and equipment. Portable Extractors

Pumps

Electric submersible pumps and high-pressure pumps are the two pumps most likely used when a basement has more than two inches of standing water. Electrical submersible pumps commonly referred to as sub pumps are the most typical; however, if the basement requires a high amount of lift, the high-pressure pump may be a better option since it gives a stronger discharge. Both pumps do not handle solids well but can move 1000 to 6000 gallons of water per minute.
